Mae Hong Son, is a beautiful city in the north-west of Thailand, about 180 km. from Chiang Mai. There are 2 roads to Mae Hong Son, one comes from Mae Sariang, to the south, the other comes from Chiang Mai, from the north, passing through Maeteng and Pai to Mae Hong Son. Both ways go through the mountains with many scenic views. Also there are 3 flights a day from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son, taking about 30 minutes.
